I am a freelance tour guide in Saigon, Viet Nam (Saigon is also called Ho Chi Minh City since 1976). I have worked for some travel agents in Saigon as a professional tour guide for a while such as: All Asia Travel, Diethelm Travel, Transviet Travel, Indochina Legend Travel, wide-eyed tour…then I realized that those travel agents charged tourists pretty much. I find out why. Because they need to cover many kinds of fee so that their organization can exist and operate properly. Those fees are office rent, tax, labour, domain name, website, telecommunication, electricity…and I also realized that I can provide tourists the same service at a really lower price compared to those offered by them. Why? Because I am not a company, I don’t have employees, no website, no office, no tax…I am just an independent tour guide working for myself, so I don’t have a lot of fees to be covered
I am a specialist in the South of Viet Nam, and I will provide tours in the South of Viet Nam only. I don’t handle Air-ticket, hotel booking, meals, travel insurance. I can recommend Hotels and restaurants in the South Viet Nam for you, but you will deal with the booking work yourself. I will provide you transportation and my service as a tour guide, that’s it.
